Beach theme birthday Cake

This Cake was ordered by a dear friend of mine to celebrate her mom's 81st birthday. It's a half sheet cake - half chocolate and half vanilla filled and covered with butter cream icing.

The beach towel and flip flops are made with gum paste and are edible. The trees and fishes are not edible. Have used brown sugar for sand and have scribbled "81" on sand. This was my friend's only request - to make it a beach theme and have "81" scribbled on the sand.

The best part of this cake was making those pink flip flops to give this cake a little whimsical look. I really enjoyed making this cake. I was invited to this party and got such great reviews and feedback about this cake which made my day.  Needless to say, the birthday girl absolutely loved this cake and was proudly showing it off to her family and friends.

Everything is edible including the card which says Best Wishes Eliza. The card is made of gum paste and used Wilton's edible markers to sign the card.

About Sweet tooth

I'm Dolly Sharma , Cake designer and the face behind Sweet Tooth . I'm passionate about baking cakes and cup cakes. I've been baking for around 10 years now. Decided to take my passion to the next level and started baking professionally. It has been 2 years now. Most of my cake orders were initially for friends and family. Now I do get a lot of business generated by  word of mouth. I'm grateful for that, to be able to do what you love is a blessing. Decorating a Cake or cup cakes makes me extremely happy. I see a cake as a blank canvas ready for the artist in me to color / shape / design it.

The best part of this job is when I see the expression on my loved one's faces or when the customers write/email me about the cake and how much they loved it, makes me happy as well. I believe in "Creating Sweet memories one cake at a time".
